Jennifer is a Certified Professional Midwife with more than 25 years of healthcare experience and over 18 years of experience attending births. Originally from Virginia and raised primarily in Pennsylvania, she felt called to midwifery early in her healthcare career and began midwifery school after the home birth of her fourth child. As part of her clinical experience, she interned in birth centers in Senegal and the Philippines, as well as attending births at home in PA and NJ as an apprentice midwife.

Jen then owned and operated a successful home birth midwifery practice in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains for 14 years before relocating to Austin, Texas. There she served families in both home and birth center settings for three years. Her experience includes prenatal, birth, postpartum, newborn care, breastfeeding support, childbirth education, and mentoring midwifery students.

Jennifer is the proud mother of six grown children and is grateful for the unwavering support of her husband and family throughout her midwifery journey. When she's not caring for clients, Jen enjoys movies, Broadway musicals, true crime and cult documentaries, and playing video games. She is so happy to be a part of Columbia Birth Center’s team of experienced and talented midwives offering out of hospital birth to the greater Tri Cities area.
